breast eagles for HBT tunics

Hello guys,


Ive noticed with M44 tunics that you can see the trapezoid style eagle has been sewn through the lining.So obviously the eagle was applied after the tunic and liner was assembled.
I also realise that the earlier style tunics(m36,etc),that the breast eagle was applied first onto a seperate panel of cloth,then assembled with the rest of the tunic.With the liner going in last.So you should i asume, with an original factory applied eagle, not be able to see any sewing for the eagle coming through the lining.
But what stage were breast eagles for Heer HBT tunics applied?

Since HBT tunics have just a partial lining, the breast eagle's sewing stitches are visible from both sides. So, I am afraid it is hard to find an answer for your question now.
