A-H uniform ID?

All right, all right. Wrong country, wrong war, but I still want to know. The Pelz & Truppenkreuz make him a WWI officer, but does anyone recognize the collar device and buttons?

The collar insignia would indicate a Hungarian Honved telegraph unit private if WWI, but from the shoulder cord, I suspect this is the immediate post-WWI period, and so a Hungarian national insignia with the Magyar crown, rather than a wartime Reserve-Landwehr formation. He is only an ordinary private, I forget what the exact model tunic was--M1916? M1917? with the strip of collar patch color rather than a full patch. The buttons are quite odd--???

Thanks, Rick. I thought only officers were entitled to wear a Pelz.

I forgot to add, it's dated Feb. 1918.
