    Bullion Hat and Breast Eagles

Here are two bullion hat eagles and a matching breast eagle that are on brown wool backgrounds.

Which group or organization wore these?

In my opinion Ron they are all reproductions. Sorry,

                Ron:

Glenn is right; all reproductions. The breast eagle is identical to one of my very first buys back in the early/mid '80's. I was totally bummed when I found out a short time later.

                Regards,

                Drew

                  Glenn and Drew,

                  Thanks for the replies.

Thats when I got these eagles, back in the 80's, and always wondered why I could not find them in references. Now I know why.

Interesting that I got all three separately.

These will go in with the "bad boys."

                  Best regards,
                  RonR

Unfortunatly those are repro's. I have a set myself bought in the '70s from Delta International. The immediate give away is the speckles on the breast and the fact there is no cross stiching on the wreath.

Also, I noticed that the wings are not balanced on the first 2 examples. 10 vertical strands on the left sides of wings and 11 and 12 on the right sides. Maybe it happened but it is a concern.
