    Fallschirmjager Helmets

    Hi All,
Does anyone know how many manufactures there were for the Fallschirmjager helmet?
If so what were there maker codes?
Does anyone know of any webb sites showing good cllose up shots of the harness for the helmet, pull through and press stud?
    Thanks,
    Allan

Eric Queen can help answer this posting - he will come up ssoner or later. I believe the manufacturers/factories of the para helmets were the same as for the standard combat helmet - all of which are specified in Bauer's book.

Hi Allen, I can tell you about the M1938 Para helmet.
There was only one maker of the helmet shells. This was Eisen-und-Huttenwerke A.G. of Thale, who used the makers code "ET" or late war they used the code "CKL".
Sizes came in either 66, 68, 71. Three different size liners could be fitted to each helmet giving a range of size fittings.
I can take a few pics of mine, but I can't guarantee the picture quality? Drop me a line if you want.
      Hope that helps?
