    "inferior" tropical Luftshirt.

    Hello,
I've in my collection a inferior Luftshirt.
    I really like it.
The pockets obviously come from another shirt and therefore are made a bit smaller.
The flaps didn't fit anymore for this reason,so new flaps were made of a different kind of cloth.
These are not replacements but sewn on for the very first time.
    Long straps for the shoulderstraps.
The collar is turned inside out for the damage coused by wearing in the neck.
I've another blouse in my collection that has the same feature.
Different kind of threads has been used.
There are two rips underneath the collar that has been fixed, but the collar covers that.
The overall condition of the shirt is very good however,no more damage than that, and the overall color is very nice.
The eagle is very nice with no damage.
Just wanted to share this one with you.

    Jos.

The sewing isn't visible on the inside of the collar, kind of proffesionaly done.

                      Finally...

                      Hello

After searching this forum backward from 2007 to 2003 this is the first shirt I came across that has the third collar button in the rear of the neck. All other LW shirts that were classed as do not have such a button. Is it safe to say that at least in the LW shirt usually did not have a button in the back of the neck?

                      thanks
                      Uwe

                        Italian style IMO..
                        Like the Italian jackets..
                        I've seen more than one...
Shirt is original as you can see in the neck etc..
Recently they even fake this style.

                        Jos.

                          Hi Jos

So are you saying that the back collar button in general is Italien? German issue shirts did not have it?

                          thanks
                          Uwe

There might be (a) German pattern(s) which has/have this button, but the style is Italian IMO.

Nice shirt Jos! I really like the pocket flaps from different material, and the award loops.
