    I agree, Italian made! What are the measurements on your example? Breast size or cap size?

    Here's an Italian made Panzer officer's eagle I bought from a 36th ID vet I worked with back in the 1970's. Not much comparison to a German made example, but then the Italians making these didn't have templates. Just like the stuff the Italians made for the Americans and British, some is better than others.

            Hi all,
            orange was the color appointed to be used by the "Gendarmerie".

            On an arm badge the Eagle looks to the left so I think this example is
            made for headgear or as a breast eagle.

            But I'm sure that this one is a fake because of its poor quality.
            (Note that the examples of Schlicht/Angolia are machine made and
            the orange one is handmade.)
