          HI G May,
          Very nice tunic, just not early. In fact it is, I believe, the last form of tunic worn. Sturm 2/ Standart 174, with rank of Sturmfuhrer. Hope this helps.

              Agree with Terry this isn't early, but a war pattern tunic.
              Very very nice!!

              Further I think this isn't BB but Niederrhein, BB had the silver piping and this looks gold piping.

              Great tunic!

                I'M SORRY TERRY....

                Looking at the colour of the shoulderboard it could be aging concerning the colour so BB is probably right .
