    Feldbluse question

I have a nice M1941 (six button closure ) feldbluse. I noticed 2 features that (I thought) are usually associated with m1942 and m1943 feldbluses

    1) longer upper pockets (same shape as the longer m42/43 but with pleats)
    2) lower pockets are of the saddle bag type (usually seen on the m42/43), not the usual bellows construction.

Is this possible or is there a problem here?

    Paul,

You are correct on your observations. The M41 looks like the M40 but has the all the features of the M42/43 tunics, ie the simple lower pocket bellows, darker green wool and satin lining. The only thing that makes an M41 differnt from a M43 are the pleats in the pockets.

I have included a picture of a M40/1 tunic (I sold this one way back)

Thanks airborne steve, that's very reassuring!
Can I assume M39 or M40 einheit litzen and bustadler would both be used? (Yours look like M40?)

            Paul,

Yes, but the mid war type would be most likely found on the M41 (just like what you would find on the M43)
