    Heer Pioneer Oberst Field Tunic

    Gent's

Here is a nice field worn, high ranking officers field tunic that recently came in. The jacket is named to one of two DKiG winners but I am still awaiting the paper work so I can try to narrow it down. Tailored by the Holters firm.

While the collar appears to be black it is in fact a very, very dark green/black and was perhaps used due to the Pioneer branch of service.

You can clearly see the indendation of the German Cross pin and catch in the tunics wool.

    Hope you like it.

Can’t wait to see the papers! That tunic has it all, Oberst, pioneer and highly decorated. For those of us that collect officers’ it does not get much better.

Very nice piece. One thing that I would do is check the history of this battalion (34th) and see who it was attached to and where it went and be sure that the KRIM shield is right, etc.

Fantastic tunic. I love the way the history is captured through the badges and awards. Good one. Glen.
