embroidered breast eagle

This is an embroidered breast eagle that I would like your opinion on.
I can't seem to find much info on enlisted mens embroidered eagles (in the books I have I can find reference to them but thats about it).
The eagle kinda looks a bit bowling pin like but then again on the early stuff shapes seem to vary.

Thanks for the response Jos, The eagles body shape is bizarre and not being about to find info made me wonder.
