Received this from my insurance agent YEARS ago. He got it near Caen MANY years ago.

Any idea what it is? Someone told me once it was a cossak volunteer's breast eagle.

Its a breast insigna for russian foreign voluntary in the whermacht, its very rare and i think if you will put it on estand, you will sell it in a nanosecond!

few time ago a guy here in this forum, posted a tunic bought on ebay in mint conditions without its insigna! and i suppose that he will be very glade to buy this eagle for that tunic! sorry but i cant give you more info about, only because i dont know him
