2 Pioneer tunics

It was awesome that I was able to get 2 tunics from the same soldier. The soldier's name was Lt. Fritz Beer. He was killed in Normandy. I wanted to thank the seller as it is one of the highlights of my pioneer branch collection.
I almost had a heart attack as the upgraded M-40 was floating in the "mail" for 1 month. I was more concerned about losing a piece of history rather than the monetary lost.

The headgear, aguilette and medals did not come with the group

Those are both beautiful tunics but I love the M40, outstanding find.

Very nice collection indeed. Two tunics from the same person is a rarety. Did you get any information on the officer with the tunics. I assume he was part of the Pz Lehr Division.

Thanks for the comments. I will try to get his military records. The dress tunic has the Lehr cyphers. The price was a good price for a pioneer group and did not included the premium that the Lehr cyphers usually adds. I need to do more research. I am including the information about his death.
