Incredible! This tunic would be the crown jewel in any collection.. I'm completely jealous, and dream of having a tunic with this kind of photo providence.

The extra long shoulder boards are very typical for Gebirgsjägers, since they were used on the Windjacke (the double breasted wind jacket), as well as the great coat.

This is good to know as my GJ Spiess has these longer style boards and I always wondered why.

As the porträt photo was taken in Lofer Salzburg, the soldier
served in an austrian GJ Regiment nearby i guess
