KM, HEER, LUFT eagles opinion

I can only comment on the Luftwaffe eagles. I like the two on photos 11 and 12. I do not like the one on 13 and 14, and I do not like the tropical shirt eagle on 8 and 9.

I really like almost all of the eagles. I collect Heer insignia so I am not so well versed in the luft or KM. Page 1 is a nice original grey on D. Green breast eagle. Page 2 I like the blue on white but do not like the gold on blue.Page 3 is a nice late war embroidered EM. eagle.Page 6 has some very nice officer bullion eagles. I believe that the luft eagles are good but thats not my field. The only eagle I don't like is the KM Gold on Blue. I could be wrong there also.

I agree with Willi about the tropical eagle and the eagle backed on green HBT. However, my reasons for not liking them are probably different than Willi's. Perhaps these eagles are good, but if they are, they are not typical designs and are troubling for they are similar to reproductions I have seen at shows.

John, as I suspect you know, my reasons include the details of the back of the eagles. But, they also inlcude the sloppy details of the eagles on the front, the base fabric for both the tropical and the hbt. I certainly agree they have features common to fake eagles, especially when compared to the two we like.
