Strange M43/M36?

    I am in love with that retailored tunic. There exists a huge amount of variation in how these conversions are done. To have one with a factory applied eagle is extremely desirable. I have seen period photos of these tunics with sewn in officer boards that still retain not only the factory eagle, but the enlisted generic litzen as well.

      Don't some of these "pleated" M43's look a little "Swedish" to anyone else?

        Paul,

        They sort of do look like Sweedish tunics but in Brian Davis's books on heer uniforms there are several pictures of this type of tunic with the straight top flaps and pleats? I personally would not have these type of tunics in my collection, but I believe they did exist.
