Who would have used this button? I noticed the "dot" on the front. Because of the dot would it make this a 6 rather than a 9?

Hi Robert, the shoulder board is for a Major, Heer Artillery.
The SS button is for the early SS-VT cap. These are well copied nowadays. Place it on the SS forum to be 100% sure
But it looks OK to me.
The number "6" button is for a Heer shoulder strap. It would denote No. 6 Kompanie.
