In my opinion it's a good jacket. White uniform, the second model. The first model had stand-up collars and more buttons. I would say this is a good one

Hi Steiner

You are of course right, the name could have been addede later. But if you were to put a fake name in a tunic, would you not choose a "famous" WWII sub commander, or a Knight cross winner, instead of a totally unknown, WWI vet whose highest award was the 1914 EKI.
