    Roman IX C Strap

Anyone have any idea what this may be? I picked it up from Angolia a couple years ago when he was liquidating his strap and board collection. He was never able to come up with a regulation for this.

My initial thoughts lead me to Wehrkreis IX Hq in Kassel.

      As for the 'C' . . . ???

David - that thought has crossed my mind as well, then I run into the same problem you did - 'C'?

Could it possibly be Section C of the IX Corps Administration Area.

Section C in deals with rations procurement, administration . . . etc

The major problem with that is that the Waffenfarbe looks to be white, which needless to say is the right colors for a rations department.

In all my references I find nothing with a 'C',

The Luftwaffe worn these type of slip-ons as well, but not as widespread as the Army

Just a shot in the dark
