      Hello-

It seems period, but the ferrules (is that the right word?) look different from the ones I have on the ones I have. Does anyone else have any with this style of tip?

        Hi Don

Kai Winkler still has 3 sets on his site, all have the same ferrules as mine. I have seen one on Relichunter, where one Ferrules is as mine, and the other is a little longer. Could you perhaps post a picture of yours?

          Soren,

You might want to look at the thead on DDR lanyards on the DDR board as they are discussing the differences between WWII and later cords. http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=142815

              Soren,
These aiguilettes are fine and positioned correctly. They are duller and softer than parade ones. I have seen the darker coloured tips before and think that they are a variation on the silver and nothing else.

                  Garder,

Nice tunic and aiguillette. Here is a scan from Brain Davis's book showing period photos with both types of augillettes in wear.

                  Regards,

                  Gordon

Thanks for the kind words. I got it of the E-stand. It is named to a Leutnant der reserve Rath, who I would like to track down.

On an other note, does anyone know what a Heer Adjutant did, how many there were in a battalion or Regiment etc.

                    Soren
