    NCO Pip Original?

I have a LW NCO shoulder board with this pip on it. It's kinda domed, and when you look down on the pip the sides are somewhat rounded. The attaching pins are brass. Thoughts?

As far as I am concerned, it looks like and original style of pip. What you describe is what I thunk is a not uncommon type wartime pip on Heer shoulder insignia. Of course I do not know if it was intended for other organizations or not,

I do not know a lot about the Bundeswehr or NVA, but from what I observe, pips for these services - especially the DDR whose uniforms remained similar to Wehrmacht uniforms - were virtually identical to the "standard" Wehrmacht style. What you picture is not what I am talking about....so I think such is not at risk of being a post war BW or NVA pip.

    Brass prongs are fine, too.
