Mountain Troops Signals Patch - Opinion/Question

Is the Mountain Troops Signal Patch below correct? The thickness of the green interior is pparently of the certain size?

Does the color of the base the same present standard of patch Edelweiss, or either: dark green for 1939-40 and field gray of 1940 in ahead?

This another model is relatively different of the previous one. The green seems to be darker and finishes. Is it correct?

I think it looks good. I do not collect "blitzes", but someone here on the forum does.

I believe that both of them are examples of original patches just with a little variation. It is a little hard to tell the colors on the second one with the red background. The first one has a paper covered reverse which was seen but the blue color is a little different.I am used to seeing a black colored paper if paper is used. I have also seen cloth covered backgrounds where the insignia was sewn through it and where it was glued on.
Signal blitzes were made on alot of different fabrics, D.Green wool, Field Grey wool,HBT,A.K.Tan cotton,Black wool and others. There was also alot of variation in manufacture in base material, thickness of thread, color, backings, and size of insignia or patch.
The two pieces that you show look original and "nice" to me.

Both original and desirable IMO. The blue paper is good. Also, yes, the early blitz's were on bottle green the later "M40" style on field gray. Popular belief has it that the brown wool ones are late war. Incorrect, they are for the tropical mantel or greatcoat.

              hope this helps.
