I found these att ebay.de are they originals or copies?? Cloth insignia is really not my collecting field but nice to have.

Welcome to the forum.

1.) I looked in several books that I have and can say with certainty that this is not a Luftwaffe AFRIKA cuff title. All the reference I could come up with shows the LW cuff title in thick BLOCK letters NOT serif - like the Heer cuff title style. I thought that maybe it could be a Kreigsmarine style cuff title, but I couldn't find any reference to compare - except here on the forum (see links below). I will say this that if this were an Army style cuff title I would pass stricly based on the lettering style being what I consider to skinny. Pass

2.) The Ordensburg cuff title looks correct and these are fairly common. However, pictures can and do deceive. Again I would caution you to pass.

3.) I'm certain that this cuff title is a reproduction. Even the person selling says they don't know if it's original - that's usually a good tip that it's not! Here the problem is just the opposit of the reason I give fir the AFRIKA cuff title. The lettering is way to wide - compared to original pieces.

In the end I would pass on all three. My opinion is just based on observation and certainly would defer to more knowledgable sources.

I have seen a photo of a Luftwaffe guy wearing a GOTHIC Afrika sleeveband...

Hi Chris,

As I said, all the reference I could come up with. What's your opinion of the AFRIKA title that is shown in the eBay.de auction? Can you post the photo example? Or, is it just a recollection?
