Tom: Just my opinion ,but looks like a put together . insigina is early and new and i dont care for the cuff splits they should be tappered and not square. Bill V

Hi Tommy,

It seems like an original M44. As it is an issue piece with post issue applied insignia it is very hard to make a qualified statement to originality / authenticity.

It was common for officers to use issue uniforms. Most of them upgraded them sooner or later with officer's insignia which, unfortunately for us, could have occured at any stage of wear.

Even if there is nothing wrong with the individual components, there will allways be that uncertainty factor left. Unless it came straight out of the vet's closet.
