I recently picked up a belt that I believe to be private purchase. It has the riveted catch and the stitching for the tongue is done so that it is not visible from the front. Finally, the back is covered with a wool / felt material (or at least it was before the moths had a feast !!! 
moremad) that covered the entire length of the belt. It is not patent leather so I assume it is not a parade belt. Can someone give me some more details on this style of belt (issued, private purchase, walking out dress, military, etc...)? I have seen post war belts with the riveted catch but this does not appear to be post war. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
