    Kriegsmarine buttons! Rare?

I have a question about Kriegsmarine buttons. I have here two sets of KM buttons. It seems they are from glass or related material. All the buttons are nicely dated with 42 and maker. One set is white and the other set is yellow.

I have the oppertunity to buy this buttons. I want to know if they are rare and what there value is. I can buy them for 30 euros a set. Each set consists of 8 buttons. I have pictures added. I am a Kriegsmarine collector, but I never seen this buttons. Are they that rare or is this telling something about my collector skills

    Any opinion is greatley appreciated.

    Greetings,

    Frans

              Hi Fran,
i would agree with GP47 that these buttons are unfinished examples.

I would not consider them rare and i am sure you could find complete examples.

Hello Fran.H., I think these buttoms are very interesting. Provided no one has the molds and is now making them, I would get them.
They may not be un-finished. It is interesting that one set is moulded in yellow for front line personal and the other in milky white for administration personal. I suppose they could put some paint on them but do they need to ? They are self functioning for their purpose with-out any-more done to them. IMO these could be "Ersatz" filling war-time demand.

                  Interesting, Chris
