    Construction of Panzer Pioneer piping

Does Pz. Pio. piping exist in single twisted cord style? I have only seen double twisted cord and ribbed/flecked styles in period fotos.

Here are examples of four different types of Pz.Pi. piping I have in my collection, including single twist piping.
    I hope this helps.

Thank you so much! I was hoping for your input since I was sure that you had the answer. I quess there are so many variations because these tabs were quite often done/modified by tailors or individual soldiers.

        Risto,
It is a lot of speculation.
Yes the twist tabs and boards were field made.

I own the NCO board set in assault gun gray with twist piping pictured in Pruett & Edwards book. They appear to be factory produced. As claimed in the book. So maybe some twist piped items were factory produced?

The "fleck" piping was definately factory produced in black or assault gun gray. But I have yet to see a photo of it in wear.
But we know it was definately used in wear by surviving examples.
