Boots Question

Hello

I have the Chance to get some WH Boots but i probably have to buy them without seeing and holding them first.

The Person who wants to sell them said they're from the Grandfather of a female person he knows.
They have the Horse-shoe U shape metall on the Heels and Nails on the Sole. This Person wanted to use them as Horse Boots because he rides with Horses but the Boots are to small for him so he tooked them to a Shoemaker and the shoemaker told him that these boots are Wehrmacht.

The inside is brown leather and the only markings he could find are on the Inside of the Sole.He could identify following Numbers: 43 - 766

ok guys,I know it isn't the best description for boots and without photos even worst BUT he wants to give them away for 50EUR and I think about to take the risk.
Is there any chance to tell from the description,that they might be period??

any Infos and comments are very welcome and much appreciated

The 43 is probably the size (I think about size 9 American) and not the date. The other number is possibly the stock or lot number. If they are real and in decent condition, the price isn't off base.

If they are real WH boots that price is, of course, incredibly cheap, and if they just look like WH boots they would probably be worth that much to a reenactor, if you have the money it is worth the risk.
