This thing came from a 'good source' but I trust you more and really need to know your feedback on it. Does it look like a period piece (color, construction, etc)?
The seller:
"This very rare item is in almost mint condition, showing no signs of wear. Stored since the war. It has a white ink stamp from the maker "Max Mayland, Bad Sulza-Thüringen". Comes with a lifetime guarantee of originality! Surviving examples are very rare, since these saw extended post-war use by both civilians and soldiers!"
I really wonder how he was able to read the ink stamp on it. To me it is simply unreadable..
