LW Feldwebel

I've a nice LW 4 buttons tunic. I think it's genuine bat there is a problem:2 star (with tresse) on the shoulder-straps end 3 gulls (and not 4) on the collar-tabs.
On B. Davis' book on LW, this combination is wrong but on Kurtz's book on german para, on page 43, there is a jacket like mine (2 stars and 3 gulls).

Are the shoulder boards removeable? If so, you may just have Oberfeldwebel boards on instead of Feldwebel ones. Normally 4 pocket tunics have sewn in boards; look and see if all the pips (or stars, as you called them) match. Someone may have added a pip to a hole, thinking one was missing when instead there may have been a cypher there (like KS, for example). If you're a Wehrmacht Association member, post a pic or two if you can.
