Does anyone any Luftwaffe Forestry insignia?

Was wondering if anyone might have any Luftwaffe Forestry insignia that they could post pictures of? I would really like to see some collar tabs. According to George Wheeler's bayonet book they would be like regular Luftwaffe tabs except they would be black with acorns instead of gulls.
All of this type of insignia must be rare. Thanks, Mike

Heres a single Luftwaffe Forestry collar tab that I recently obtained. I believe it to be for a Sounderfuhrer but I'm not sure. I believe these Luftwaffe Forestry tabs to be very rare as it took me several months to find just this single example. Mike

      Collar tab colours

      Hello,

      I love Forestry insignia!

That rank is actually titled "Anwaerter des hoeheren Diensts" or candidate for the higher service (Administration).

If the colour is brown it would be for Private Forestry Service. It is correct that the LW used black for their forestry service.

Diane, thanks very much for the information. Theres not alot of information readily available on Luftwaffe Forestry items. I believe volume 2 of Angolia's Luftwaffe series has some information but that book is almost impossible to find and actually sells for over $600. I notice that my photo makes the tab look brown but actually it is very black. I used alot of direct light when I took the picture. Might anyone else have any other Luftwaffe Forestry insignia that they could post? Mike

          German Forestry Uniform Regulations

          Hello,

I have a copy of the German Forestry Uniform regulations of 1938, revised in 1942 to reflect the insignia changes.

Unfortunately there are no colour plates and they do not clearly specify the branch colours.

The pamplet does however illustrate Goerings special collar tabs / shoulder boards as "Reichsforstmeister".

These acornless tabs are a first for me! Incredible find! The only set of Forestry tabs I have belong to the Heer Forestry(grey waffanfarbe)! I would love to find them all!!
