Trop. Pi. board help again.

Well I am at it again. Still looking for some Pioniere tropical boards.
I found these on an Italian dealers site.
Any help would be appreciated .

Not too familiar with the tropical stuff but why isn't the bottom made of the same stuff as the top? That is strange and in my book something to avoid... I would pass on these unless somebody could enlighten me that this is the way the Germans made them during the war...

You might want to move this to the Wehrmacht Uniforms and insignia section. There was a nice thread on tropical items a few weeks ago. You might contact the author of the thread since hes very knowleadgeable on tropical items.

I agree with the comments so far. These don't appear to be production pieces.Could be field made though. Jim

They are really off from "standard issue"...ie, length, construction, materials all look to be something different from the norm. Not to say they are not authentic...if they are, they are ersatz in my opinion.
