    Unusual Turkistan Volunteer Shield

I ran across this Bevo type armshield from an old collection of German insignias put together decades ago . They are a style I haven't seen before but look completely authentic in everyway , appear to have been in a vet's scrapbook. The white ground reminds me of the Indian and Arabian armshields . Or are these some sort of Turkish army badges? The small badge seems to be for a cap. Anyone seen this type before in pictures etc?

Very rare! Is there any relation to German foreign legions?

The badge says Turkey. Maybe they are in the book "The East came West". I will check when I get back home.

The badges say "Turkey" in Turkish. And have the Turkish flag beneath. Were there any Turkish volunteers in the German army?

Yes but they didn't wear those shields. Post WW2 I'm afraid.
