Modification to Afrikakorps Long Pants Cuffs

I'm seeing if I can post photos and I thought this item may be of interest. I have a pair Tropical German Straight legged trousers that have had the cuffs modified by adding a strip of elastic around them. This was a typical application but I have never seen another pair 35 years of collecting. Just finding used straight legged trousers is tough. This modification is clearly shown on the cover of Schiffer's "Rommel's Afrikakorps" by B. Kurtz. The soldier pants have the elastic strip aroud the cuff. Dal shows a picture in his book "Rommel's Army in Africa." I apologize if you've seen this before or if my pfotos don't work. Here ar ethe shots.
Note the elastic strip is a thin and encased in a strip of heavy cotton trop material. There is an one opening slit used in the application. Sorry I can only upload one photo. I'll figure it out.
