    Tunic Opinions

    Hello All,

I was hoping to solicit some opinions on this tunic from Kai Winkler's site. From my novice view, the tunic looks alright.

Any and all opinions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Pat

Nice original tunic. L. Ritgen is the name of the factory that made the tunic.

It's just ... the Eagle and the Edelweiss are both machine zig-zag stitched with the same blue-ish thread ...

I was going to mention the insignia too. The pictures are hard to tell but it the stitching on the eagle and the eidelweiss do look a little off. But that being said I would like to see better closeups on the stitiching before I made up my mind.

Good eye Bart What would be the chances of the eagle thread colour and method of stitching matching the Edelweiss thread and stitching, as of course the Edelweiss would have been added at a later date and not from the factory.

I was going to comment on the stitching of the eagle and Edelweiss, also. First, it is the same color thread. Second, while most of the eagle is applied with a close/tight zig-zag stitching, the right side seems hand stitched. I don't get it.
