Hi,
Here's just another Summer eagle,nice thing is it has a very nice hinge and catch,better than most other eagles.
Maybe this eagle was one of the more expensive patterns these days ??
The eagle is aluminium,but the front is plated with a kind of shiny silver layer that is stamped over the eagle...very nice process IMO.

I have the very same eagle, purchased recently from Detlev. I too was wondering about the finish, as I havn't seen one quite the same (I have now)
Mine even has the same central 'crack' lines on the reverse. Beautiful bird!
