When you typed "I traded off the tunic like a young fool to a dealer named Grant from Canada" it made think of a guy named Frank Grant from Limehouse near Georgetown Ontario

        Hello
The label seems suspicious ( the writing that is !) . First the date , don't the German call June Juni ? and not Juno !!!! and the writing looks modern as well .
        Regards

Juno is ok, in some areas in germany they call June = Juno. Also a lot of older people!

"Juno" might work in place of "Juni", but my concern, and that of others, is the block script.

I wonder what ever happened to Frank Grant? I was burned by him once.

I also remember when Donovan owned that uniform.

                    I remember too...

I bought this one from Gerard in 2006, though neither of us knew about the replaced eagle. A year later I sold it to a friend/forum member and year after that, I was able to buy it back. Finally, I sold it for a second time in 2008/9 to Jacques.

Always loved this one, looks great on display. Unfortunately, I can't afford to keep everything and since I'm not a General's collector, it was always the first thing to go when I needed money for something in my 'area' - KC groups.

I snipped these photos off a newsreel. It is the Heer surrender in Italy.

Do you think the fellow with the eye glasses is Beelitz? I have an interest in him since I had owned the tunic originally from the woodwork. I have never seen a photo of Beelitz in his Generals uniform .

Sorry, but the photos are grainy and if I make them larger they loose any if all clarity.
