    Signal blitz's

OK, do fake signal blitz's exist and what do they look like? Feel free to post pics.

Hi Steve, Cyrus Lee sells these. They are the type for Female Signal Operators. They are not brilliant and really would not fool most collectors I think?

Thanks Ade. Have you come across any of the Manions blitzes? I have looked at a couple but am not sure about them. Also, whats the best source for these elusive little buggers ?
      cheers

Hi Steve, I never bother looking at Manions, sorry. I do see these at shows over here, but I never bother to ask prices on them. I think they are still fairly cheap? I paid £2 for mine (Pink) donkey's years ago. I will keep a lookout for them at the big show coming up at Beltring in three weeks time.

        Cheers, Ade.

                  Hey Steve,

I found a very neat website for repro trade badges to include signal blitzes! Take a look at http://www.116.0catch.com

Fred, nice site with some pretty relevant info that I've been after for some time ! Thanks bud.

Mike K; You have some nice original blitzes there. The late PzGr on brown wool is actually for the tropical greatcoat. I have an IDENTICAL patch with provenance from a grenadier in 104 Motorized Infantry Regiment from North Africa circa 1941/42. Nice stuff mate.

cheers guys, keep em coming !

Another reputable source for signal blitzes is The Collector's Guild www.germanmilitaris.com Peter Whamond, who runs it, usually has a number available.

                      Good Luck,

Here is what I have in that area:

                            2 Black (pioneer)
                            1 Grey (Political?)
                            4 White (infantry)
                            3 Pink (Panzer)
                            2 Artillary (Red)
                            1 Lemon Yellow (Signals)
                            1 Golden Yellow (Calvary/Recon)
                            1 Light Green (Panzer Gren)
                            1 Grass Green (Gebirgsjager)
                            1 Cornflower Blue (Medical)
                            2 Sky Blue (Transport)

I too love the blitzes. They are for the most part, very reasonably priced. I am still lacking a few others I would love to find... When I have some money . Thank you for starting this great thread.

I am not aware of any real attempt of making fakes of these other than the repros listed above.(For re-enactors).
