This is a WWII US Army officer's shirt. What does the tag at the inside of the collar say?

I agree with Steve, US WW II. My dad had several like it (his own) in different colors, most very dark olive or brown. Typical US construction. Johan, WW II German shirts never had built in straps.

The shirt in question is an early U.S. Air Force (1947 into the early 1960's) shirt.
I have one exactly like it which belonged to Lt.Col. Reuben Fier who had been a PoW in Luft Stalag 3 during the war.

              Regards,

              Chuck

Sure looks like the standard Army officer's OD shirt from WWII to me. I don't see it being the early blue the Air Force used early on (Shade 84, if I remember correctly).

                Regards,

                Drew
