    Eisenbahn Pioneer / Panzerzug

I am wondering how common/uncommon Eisenbahnpioneer/ Panzerzug tunics are in collections?

They used engineer branch color w/ a Gothic "E" cypher (with or without battalion or train number)

I believe them to be quite rare.

The other forum has not produced much info on this topic. What do you think?

Who has a tunic to show??

    Cheers, John

I have never seen an original one that I believed in. I have seen some insignia - non ewith train numbers, but the "E" could just have easily been for something other than a train. I have seen award documents. There were were about 100 armored trains if memory serves me...and the uniforms of the crews varried from black wraps, to field gray wraps to regular field service uniforms to work/fatigue clothing, etc.

Should someone have such a uniform and be courageous enough to post it, that would lbe ineteresting.

        Thanks Guys,

Scott I'll take a few pictures for you. (It is a Hauptmann "E-3" boards, a fully (black)-piped tailor made tunic w/ tailor and name tags. It was clearly used as a regular service tunic. A "one-looker"

        Cheers, John

I took some decent pictures of my officers fully-piped "E-3" tunic. Could I email the pictures to one of you guys for posting??

              Hi John,
I've got some pics, documents and awards which belonged to an Eisenbahn Pioneer guy, who started in 1937 as a Panzerfunker.
UNFORTUNATELY I haven't got his uniforms, the only thing I have is one shoulderboard.
I know it's not an uniform, but it's a start.

              Marc

I can't believe this thread is only 13 posts long! John, that is a beautiful tunic I love it! If you would ever like to sell it I would be more than interested!

                              Cheers.
