I posted this in the Panzer section too but wanted to get some opinions from the uniform experts. looks like it had an eagle and board buttons at one time. I put the tabs on, looks like some were machine sewn on at one time. I dont see any markings but saw some old threads where markings on black are sometimes tuff.

I'm with the Hauptmann on this one, but can you please post a pic of the collar area where the collar joins the lapels near the tabs and then a pic of one of the cuffs to show the vertical stitch line of the closure panel.

This one is for certain a copy (fake, reproduction whatever you want to call them), probably from the 1990s as I recall. There were also trousers to match with same lining fabric. These were made fairly well for the time but there are many characteristics incorrect in this series of copies.

Just take a brief look at the shoulders: the seams on the shoulders on both sides should not be straight, they should lean towards the back.Best regards.

I will post requested pics today. I thank everybody for the help. I've been a headgear guy for decades and new to tunics. I only paid $100 for this wrap and really didnt expect it to be real. It certainly looks like it was well made and been around for a long time. One good thing is it is a large size and fits me perfectly. Would be cool to wear to shows. I guess it would be a nice display with some original insignia and badges without spending thousands. I always thought these wraps were the sharpest looking uniforms of all WWII.

I took some more pics of the stitching. To me, it seems like they did a great job for a fake..., not knowing too much about quality uniforms [but hats], I would almost say it's real "German" quality.

all the ends are well tucked and stitched. I had a nice Janke a year or so ago and it was no where near made this well.
