Tropical shoulder board opinion

Picked this one up the other day, I think it looks good but would like other opinions please
The “1” button has been on there for awhile, you can see the indentation, but who knows how long. On the inside of the board there is some nap loss.

In addition to the mentioned problems the irregular shape and poorly shaped round end are not as they should be.

I have no problem with pre-war and early SS/ Political with this type of high cotton content piping.

However, I do not like tropical, Waffen SS and GD with this type of piping as shown in this thread;
