I think the best thing is to find a documentary photo with an example of such an eagle.

Hi Fred its a Belgium made one several years back a few boxes were found not on a roll but ready cut into singles i bought a few at the time also some KM and ss ones turned up probably from the same place

I have had this piece and another for about 25 years. I never cared for them and believed them to be fake. I had Belgian eagles and traps but never compared them. Bob Hritz brought it up on a thread once and I told him I believed they were repros. He said he had gotten some in veteran's groupings.


I had a friend question me about one this morning and I said I thought they were bad but let me check it against a Belgian eagle I had. The construction was near identical. I said if it was natural fiber it was probably good. It burned and ashed. I am glad that I sat back and had the time to compare them.
