Heer Cap Eagle? Authentication

This Cap eagle seems to be relatively well made? Is it an accepted original? Or a modern fake? The large prongs make me feel uncomfortable?
What are your thoughts?

Original. You find these with the wide pins often on EM visor hats.

I thought the quality was too good for the scrap heap but you never know these days.

Nice early (IMO) original Heer cap eagle with wide clips welded directly to the back. There are aluminum cap wreaths with the same hardware set up. This hardwear set up was later replaced with crimped pins
