I'm suspicious. They are supposed to be early straps, why is the piping so crooked, the Litze so badly applied, why are the buttonholes cut-after and without cord and why are there still chalk markings visible? Besides the superficial insect damage, which looks real, they look like they saw at least some slight use, those chalk markings rub out or dissolve pretty quickly with use and getting wet for the first time. They are not one-lookers to me at least.

Interesting points. What do others think of these?

why is the piping so crooked?
why is the Tresse so badly applied?

                  Pzj straps

It’s possible that the tailor turned a pair of em straps into nco straps by adding Tresse. This may have changed the shape of the piping and edges. Not enough to put me off.

I think they are fine. With the piping underlay it may have been hard to sew the tresse on so they shifted it to miss the piping cloth. They Look 100% okay to me.
