Noticed this flag fragment listed online for 320 BPS,
with the following description ... "The Deutsches Jungvolk
in der Hitler Jugend (DJ, also "DJV") translates as "German
Youngsters in the Hitler Youth". There was a seperate
section in the Hitler Youth in Nazi Germany for boys aged
10-14. Via sports, parades and outside activities the young
members were indoctrinated with Nazi ideology. In 1939 it
became compulsory for eligible boys to be members with
some going on to be child soldiers by the end of the War.
After the War's end in 1945 the Deutsches Jungvolk and its
parent organisation the Hitler Youth ceased to exist.

This flag centre to one side of a flag consists of a black
circular disc of material with a sewn circumference. A white
material swastika sewn to the centre of this with a smaller
red material disc about 6.3/4 in diameter sewn over that
with a white material Deutsches Jungvolk emblem sewn over
that. To left-hand side of the white swastika is a "D." and
the the right-hand side a "J." and beneath a "V." The whole
is slightly age faded with various maks and plucks in places to
the white Swastiks and Deutsches Jungvolk insignia and what
appears to be a blood stain to the lower left-hand side part of
the white swastika."

DJV is the early designation for the Deutsches Jungvolk. The normal term is DJ. Early DJ membership badges had DJV where the later versions do not. The RJF published reminders about the incorrect designation of the Jungvolk as DJV in the early 1930s. Very nice roundel and I have no doubt that it is an original. Price very difficult but due to the fact that it is very early I would say minimum 500US.
