As far as i know there only exists one original Flag, and beside the Blood Flag this is the rarest one. I would like to confirm that, to be sure i hit the Holy Grail

Yes of course, but not for the Forum at the Moment until everything is sorted out. Flag is original without a doubt. For me is only interesting if there is any other known Flag.

... I've never seen a full size original in person, and
only one period photo. Maybe there was only one?

I recall seeing an identical one at the MAX Show, maybe 25 years ago.

Thanks for sending me photos of the IMO
authentic Old Guard Flag. Indeed a super
rare flag, and the only full size example I've
ever seen. Awaiting forum photos before
commenting further on this superb flag.

It is unique, original and gorgeous!

The bullion embroidering is one-of-a-kind, thick and heavy.

I concurr with you that after the Blood Flag this is THE FLAG to have, even more so with the original and -also- unique pole top.

It would be the centerpiece for a political collection or any German militaria collection for that matter.

I wish you can get it.
