    WW2 DAF FLAG ID Needed-Gold Cog Wheel...Large flag about 6 x 7 feet with very fine gold textured cog wheel insignia and silver flat wire type thread in swastika...What was this for? Presentation? Factory Award? Kahuna or ???

            I believe it is a DAF Exemplary Factory flag. Factories were awarded this for compliance with Party policies, increasing productivity and working conditions, and meeting the four year economic plan goals. Take care.

                  This is the model of the award flag that would be flown at the factory. The actual award flag was a 4 x 4 standarte of the same pattern with gold fringe.
