    Kriegsmarine U-Boat Pennant

    Hi,

    Here's an interesting Kriegsmarine U-Boat pennant I'm not too familiar with. This one came out of a Canada, pretty normal to find KM items here. It appears to be the same type as this other example sold by E-Medals several years ago that they state came with provenance:

    Here's the photos of my example:

    I have a few questions;

    Does any have photos of these in use or can provide more info on this pennant? It seems to be manufactured of high quality materials with nice stitching, I do plan to sell this so want to make sure I can describe it best I can to any prospective buyers, it doesn't seem there's too many of these out there.

    Thanks!
    -Steve

    Hello Steve:
    IMO, a nice WW2 chain stitch Flottenstander,
    with DE tassel type snap-hooks (karabinerhaken).

          Ditto, and IMO snap-hooks makes it a staff car auto
          fender pennant, thus why it is chain stitch machine
          embroidered. Ship flown types were often screen printed
          with heavy rope headers and usually had a marked size
          & type stamped thereon along with an inspected for at
          sea high wind service acceptance KM eagle-M stamp ...
