SA command flags

Just wanted to show these 2 beautiful SA command flags, before they‘re sold. Both are from the same Standarte. The square one is the command flag for the Standarte itself. The triangle one for the Sturmbann.

Nice flags. Haven't seen them before of the unit 159, which normally was for Mülheim/Ruhr (Westfalen).

Many Standarte-numbers existed more then once.
159 for Mülheim remained the only one for many years. In 1938, with the annexation of Austria,
a new number 159 was added for Braunau am Inn (Alpenland). This happened about September,
according to the Führerbefehl nr. 67 from November 1, 1938 when the leader for the unit was
announced.

So, there are two possibilities in fact!

Possible. But Mülheim has also a chance. I do not know if 159 at Alpenland did have that many Sturmbanne. This information I simply do not have.

Command flags of this design are illustrated in ca. 1933-34 booklets of SA insignia, such as those produced by Cord von Einem. Other than the Stabschef's command flag, I don't think most of the designs were ever changed.

Correct, but they are in b/w. There do exist various publications with these command flags in color. For example in "Freiherr von Eelking - Die Uniformen
der Braunhemden)". But also Knötel and others do have them. I have not ever seen other designs (as said just Stabschef). Even in designs the eagle was the same.
