Nice flag. It's actually from the Landes-Feuerwehr-Verband (LFV) Oldenburg, Cloppenburg Bezirk 1"...so territorial fire department association Oldenburg, Cloppenburg District 1. The LFV was essentially the Nazified fire department association before the fire department was placed under police administration.
Canadians were involved in the battle for the area so it makes sense this flag turned up in Canada.Last edited by paulj; 10-14-2018, 03:53 PM.

- in the south of the Netherlands (between Venlo and Eindhoven), near the German and Belgium border
I have seen also: L.F.V. Oldenburg Wesermarsch Bez. 1.
A photo from the patch is in my book about gotgets.
There do exist gorgets that do have the same symbol eagle within the star
I have seen four of them now through the years. They all were from northern Germany.
Were they used only there? One cannot find information about this.
